When your patient is in treatment for anxiety, make sure to check in with them about their therapy. According to a recent study, exposures are the key component to symptom improvement in cognitive behavioral therapy. Check with your patients who are being treated for anxiety to make sure that they are completing exposures in therapy and at home. This can reinforce the importance of these interventions, increase adherence and improve overall functioning.
